Dr. Limaye is a pediatrician at Heartland Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center that serves a large immigrant and refugee population as well as the homeless of Chicago.
She also oversees Heartland's two school-based health centers, at Nicholas Senn High School and Theodore Roosevelt High School. A school-based health center is essentially a doctor's office within a school, and it is a place where students can come for primary care (including contraception options), nutritional education, and counseling.
Dr. Limaye attended Virginia Commonwealth University and Oxford University during her undergraduate years and earned her medical degree from the School of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children's Memorial Hospital, part of Northwestern Universiy.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Limaye is especially invested in prevention and health education.
