Kate Mahoney, MSW, LCSW Kate Mahoney is a licensed clinical social worker. She has worked in the addictions field for nearly 25 years. Her undergraduate degree is in Sociology and Women’s Studies from Northwestern. She also has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Kate is the Executive Director of PEER Services, a community-based substance abuse prevention and treatment agency with offices in Evanston and Glenview, Illinois. Kate has done extensive work with adults, teens, parents and schools. She has presented at numerous National and Statewide conferences. Kate currently serves as the president of the Illinois Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Association. Kate will contribute to www.whatiwishyouknew.com as a professional guest expert.
