Lara R.

Lara has been working in the field of humanitarian aide work for the past two years, previously working with trauma and addiction.

Lara has had the opportunity to work with people from all over the world in a variety of different capacities. She helped in Sri Lanka and has since been working throughout Tamil Nadu, India in response to the tsunami 2004.

Currently Lara is working with Habitat for Humanity International as a part of the Disaster Response Team.

Lara realizes the importance of blending cultural awareness while trying to help heal those who have suffered; from building houses, infrastructure, counseling, playing with children and just talking and listening with people in their communities. Lara strongly believes in empowering individuals to take care of themselves, and wants to assist in helping to provide basic skills and whatever else she can do to help alleviate poverty and disease.

Lara loves yoga, traveling and learning from the people of the world.
